The Days of Philippine Culture in Russia will feature various activities and performances that will showcase the best of Philippine culture and arts. Renowned ballet group Ballet Manila, led by Artistic Director and prima ballerina Lisa Macuja Elizalde, Philippine Women’s University’s Jose Abad Santos Memorial School Rondalla, and soprano Ms. Bianca Camille Lopez will grace the Gala Performance at the Russkaya Pesnya Moscow State Folklore Theatre on September 27, 2017. The gala performance will be preceded by the opening of Perfected by Tradition: Philippine Weaves exhibit at the theatre lobby which showcases the intricacy and creativity of Philippine indigenous textiles and how these reflect the heritage and history of the different weaving communities.
In addition to cultural performances, there will also be a community interaction at the Philippine Embassy in Moscow and another cultural performance by the visiting artists at the Kolizey Theatre in St. Petersburg on September 29, 2017.
